FEMA Extends Housing Program for Hurricanes Ida, Delta, and Laura

BATON ROUGE, La. – In collaboration with the state, FEMA is providing survivors of Ida, Delta, and Laura with a six-month extension to remain in FEMA’s Direct Housing Program.The temporary program was extended until Feb. 29, 2024, however survivors will continue to pay rent to occupy the units.FEMA’s housing program eligibility—and occupancy—is based on the survivor’s continued progress on their permanent housing plan.
